Agent visibility & sharing

Control which agents members can see in a Space — restrict visibility, share an agent with specific people or the whole Space, and manage it all from one place.

By default, every member of a Space sees every agent in it. That's perfect for a small team working in the open. But when you bring in a contractor, run a classroom, or keep half-finished agents around, you may want tighter control over who sees what. This page shows how.

There are two levels:

  1. Space visibility mode — the Space-wide default: everyone sees everything, or members see only their own.
  2. Per-agent sharing — share an individual agent with specific people, a team, or the whole Space.

Space visibility mode

Open the Space switcher → Settings → Permissions and find Agent Visibility. Only an owner or admin can change it.

The Agent Visibility setting in Space settings

  • Open (default) — every member sees every agent in the Space. Nothing changes from today.
  • Restricted — a member sees only the agents they created or were shared with. Owners and admins still see every agent, so they can always govern and audit.

Switching to Restricted takes effect immediately: members instantly lose sight of agents they don't own and weren't shared with. Buda asks you to confirm first. You can switch back to Open at any time.

Confirmation before restricting agent visibility

Share a single agent

Whatever the Space mode, the creator of an agent (and any owner/admin) can share it. Open an agent's menu and choose Share — or open Settings → Agents and select Manage sharing on the row.

The Share agent dialog

The Share within your space section controls in-Space access:

Everyone in the space — toggle this on to let every member view the agent, even in a Restricted Space.

Add a member — pick a person (or a team) to grant access to just them.

Choose what they can do — each person gets a role:

  • Can use — see and run the agent.
  • Can edit — also change the agent's configuration.
  • Can manage — full control, including re-sharing and deletion.

Remove someone's access with the next to their name. The owner is always listed and can't be removed here — use Reassign owner (below) instead.

The Public link section lower in the dialog is a separate thing: it creates an unauthenticated share link that anyone on the internet can open. That's independent of who in your Space can see the agent.

Manage all agents in one place

Owners and admins get a governance view at Settings → Agents. It lists every agent in the Space with its owner, so you can audit access at a glance.

From each row you can:

  • Manage sharing — open the same Share dialog described above.
  • Reassign owner — hand an agent to another member. This is how you rescue an agent whose creator has left the Space, so it never becomes orphaned.
