Getting started
What is Buda?
Buda is a cloud-native AI agent workspace. You recruit a team of AI agents, give them work in plain language, and watch them execute live in their own cloud computers — no Mac mini, no local setup. You direct; they ship.
Do I need AI or coding expertise?
No. You give tasks in plain language and review the results. Agents can use a terminal, browser, and Git under the hood, but you don't have to.
How do I get started?
Sign up, create a Space, and hire your first agent. The Quickstart takes you from sign-up to your first deliverable in about five minutes.
What's the model behind Buda?

Agents
What can an agent actually do?
Each agent runs in its own cloud computer with files, a browser, a terminal, and Git. It can research, write, browse and interact with websites, run shell commands, and manage code — all visible live in the session.
What tools do agents have?
Paid-plan agents get Browser, Terminal, Git, and Automations. Free-plan agents have the core agent only (no Browser / Terminal / Git).
Can agents create or edit files?
Yes. Agents write and create files in their workspace and Drive using the terminal and coding tools.
What are Skills?
Skills are reusable capabilities you attach to an agent — turning an SOP or workflow into something the agent can run on demand or on a schedule. See Skills.
Can I schedule recurring work?
Yes. Automations run agent tasks on a schedule (cron-based), so repeatable work happens without you kicking it off.
Billing
What's the difference between a Space and a User Account?
Your User Account is your personal login. A Space is the billing and organizational unit — like a company entity that holds all your agents, files, members, and a shared credit balance. One account can belong to multiple Spaces, each billed independently.

Are credits per agent or per Space?
Pooled at the Space level. Each agent you buy adds its monthly allowance to the Space's shared pool. Example: 10 Pro agents = 200,000 credits/month shared across the Space.
What's the difference between Monthly and Balance credits?
Monthly Credits come with your plan and reset each cycle (no carry-over). Balance Credits come from top-ups or rewards — they never expire.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No long-term contracts.
Channels
What are Channels?
Channels connect your agents to messaging platforms so your team or customers can talk to them directly — Slack, Telegram, Discord, Feishu/Lark, WeCom, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, and a web widget.
How do channels route to the right agent?
Channels are user-scoped and deliver tasks to a default Space. Set the default Space to the one holding the agent you want to handle those messages.
My channel QR expired or the connection dropped — what now?
QR codes are short-lived; reopen the connect screen for a fresh one. Dropped gateways reconnect automatically. See Troubleshooting.
Data & security
How is my data isolated?
Every agent runs in its own sandboxed cloud computer with a dedicated, persistent volume — agents don't share a machine. Data is scoped to the Space that owns it. See Sandbox isolation.
What is a Space, for data purposes?
A Space isolates its Drive, agents, members, and billing from every other Space — even ones you also belong to. Use separate Spaces to separate projects, teams, or clients.
How do I keep sensitive data safe?
Grant the minimum: only upload what an agent should reference, separate agents by function, and approve channels per audience. See Security & Trust.
Does Buda offer self-hosting?
Yes, on Enterprise — along with BYOK and SSO for full data control.
