Buda v1.18.0 Release Notes

This release lets Agents work on computers you control, connect to more work apps, follow up on selected messages, preview files, and recover from everyday issues more reliably.

Released: July 15, 2026

✨ New Features

  • Let Agents work on your own computers with Buda Connector: Connect a personal computer, office workstation, or dedicated server to your Space, then choose where an Agent should work when you create it. The Agent can handle local project files, use tools and websites that are only available on your company network, and run tasks in the environment you already use. It is a practical fit for development and testing, operating internal systems, or working with files that should stay on your machine.
  • Connector Agents can use all available Skills: Built-in Skills, Skills shared by the Space, and Skills installed from Marketplace are all available when an Agent works on your computer.
  • Connect each Agent to the work apps it needs: The redesigned Integrations page now supports GitHub, Linear, Slack, Supabase, Notion, Amplitude, Asana, Attio, and more. Connections stay with the Agent, so teammates can use the same setup without configuring every app again.
  • Select part of a conversation and ask a follow-up question about it: Highlight text in a longer response and choose “Ask about this” to add the excerpt to the composer. There is no need to copy and paste, and your current draft stays intact.
  • Set shared environment variables for a Space: When several Agents need the same API key or service setting, configure it once for the Space. Individual Agents can still keep their own values when needed.

🔧 Experience Improvements

  • Integration settings now have separate All, Tools, and Integrations views: Common controls and connected apps are easier to find, even as the list grows.
  • The "+" menu in the chat composer has been redesigned: Attachments and Buda tools remain in the first menu, with a new Integrations submenu for work apps.
  • Drag files directly into Drive to upload them: There is no need to open the file picker first.
  • Drive file and folder names remain visible on mobile: Other details no longer squeeze names out of view.
  • App Builder shows the ready-to-share website address first: Most users can copy or open a published app immediately without configuring a domain.
  • Custom-domain settings now link directly to a setup guide: When you need your own domain, the instructions are available from the same screen.
  • You decide when to refresh an app preview after content changes: Buda tells you that an update may be available without interrupting your current work.
  • Stopped apps now offer several recovery suggestions: Choose a quick restart, ask the Agent to investigate, or let it clear whatever is blocking the app before trying again.
  • Password fields now have a show or hide button: Check what you typed during sign-in, sign-up, password changes, and password resets.
  • Agent permission lists now support search and scrolling: It is easier to find the right person in a larger Space.
  • Chat images can now be enlarged and moved around: Inspect charts, designs, and screenshots without being limited by the thumbnail size in the conversation.
  • Attachments from older conversations can be previewed again: Files no longer become unavailable simply because time has passed.
  • Unexpectedly interrupted conversations can continue: Buda first repairs unfinished Agent actions in the conversation history, then handles your next message.

  • Fixed app previews continuing to show old content after an Agent made changes.
  • Fixed preview apps unexpectedly losing their signed-in state when opened again.
  • Fixed sidebar buttons becoming unresponsive because an invisible button was covering them.
  • Restored search on documentation, changelog, and release-note pages.
