Claude Opus 5.5 Is Now Available in Buda
Buda’s Opus model is updated to Claude Opus 5.5. Spaces with an active paid subscription can select it in an Agent’s model picker for demanding code review, research across materials, and knowledge tasks requiring repeated verification.
What changes in Buda
The Opus option in the model picker is now Claude Opus 5.5, retaining the paid-subscription requirement. Its displayed multiplier is 1.3×, relative to the Claude Sonnet 5 baseline of 1.0×.
You do not need to recreate an Agent. Existing Drive files, task materials, and procedures remain available. The change selects a reasoning model, not a different workspace.
Where Opus 5.5 fits
Anthropic positions Opus 5.5 for long-running agentic coding and knowledge work, and describes more precise reading of charts, diagrams, and screenshots. These capabilities matter when a task needs more than one answer: examining several documents, resolving contradictions, checking code, and assembling an output another person can use.
Short summaries and simple rewrites may not need a stronger model. Use Opus 5.5 where cross-document reasoning, repeated verification, or complex constraints justify it, rather than switching every routine task because a new model is available.
Access and Credits
Claude Opus 5.5 is available to Spaces with a real paid subscription. Purchasing extra Credits alone does not replace the subscription required for model access.
Buda displays a 1.3× multiplier, relative to Claude Sonnet 5 at 1.0×. It is a relative comparison, not a fixed charge per task. Actual Credits depend on input, output, caching, tool calls, and minimum-charge rules.
How to start
Open the Agent responsible for the task and choose Claude Opus 5.5 in the chat input’s model picker. Provide the materials, expected output, and acceptance criteria before starting.
For example, ask the Agent to compare approved product changes against existing documentation, identify revisions with sources and open questions, and save a review draft. Check the sources and changes before publishing or updating official documents.
Start with one demanding task
With an active paid Space subscription, select Opus 5.5 in an existing Agent and try a task with available materials and an inspectable finish line. Simple summaries and format conversions need not switch. Complex work still needs clear permissions and human review.

Does a Credit top-up unlock the model?
A real paid Space subscription is also required. Model permissions and Credit balance are separate checks; a top-up alone is not a subscription entitlement.

No. It is a displayed comparison against the baseline model, not a task price. Input, output, cache usage, tools, and minimum charges determine actual consumption.
