Buda v1.17.0 Release Notes

This release adds stronger Agent permissions, clearer chat integrations, faster shared conversations, custom domains, GitHub App connections, and upload reliability improvements.

Released: July 09, 2026

✨ New Features

  • Agents can now be private or shared within a team: Space admins can choose whether all members can see every Agent, or whether members only see Agents they created or were invited to use. You can share an Agent with a person, a team, or the whole Space, choose Can use / Can edit / Can manage permissions, and reassign Agent ownership from Settings.
  • GitHub now belongs to the Agent: GitHub connections are installed through the Buda GitHub App and bound to an Agent. Teammates using the same Agent share the same GitHub connection, so the setup no longer depends on one person's account.
  • Build App supports custom domains: App Builder, Apps, Sites, deploy results, and Agent messages now prefer your connected domain. Buda also keeps the generated fallback URL and CNAME target visible, so DNS setup is easier to follow.
  • The chat Integration menu is more complete: You can now choose image generation, video generation, Web Search, GitHub, and Build app directly from the chat input. Selected options appear as visible chips, and Buda passes the right intent to the Agent without you writing tool instructions manually.
  • New model: Claude Sonnet 5 is now available in the Agent model list.
  • Global Agent permission settings: Space settings now include a Permissions tab where you can review Agent sharing, manage access, and reassign Agent owners across the Space.

🔧 Experience

  • Shared conversations continue much faster: When you save someone else's shared conversation into your own Space, Buda creates an independent copy of the chat history and opens the new conversation almost immediately. Later changes to the original conversation will not affect your copy.
  • Automations feel more predictable: “Pin to current conversation” now really pins the Automation to that chat from the first run. Automations created by Agents appear in the global list, and manual creation lets you choose any target Agent.
  • Switching Agents returns to the right chat: In the company-space layout, switching to or opening an Agent now returns to the latest conversation first. If you want a new conversation, there is now an explicit /new path.
  • Chat and session details are clearer: Session information can show the latest connected App. App In Skill keeps the real App name and shows a badge. Integration chips keep their icons, long links are shortened, and sessions can be shared directly from the left sidebar menu.
  • Mobile and embedded views start cleaner: When Buda is opened inside the mobile app, it now starts in the chat area instead of bringing back side or bottom panels left open on desktop.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • The Stop button no longer disappears after continuing a shared chat: After copying a shared conversation and sending the first message, the Stop button stays available while the Agent is thinking.
  • Channel messages are more reliable: In WeCom group chats, messages sent by multiple people at the same time no longer overwrite or lose each other. WeCom and WeChat replies also show the Agent's working process more clearly, and quoted WeCom content is now visible in Buda Web.
  • Preview recovery is clearer: When you open a signed preview link, Buda checks whether the app port is still running. If the service has stopped, it opens the Restart Dev Server prompt instead of leaving you on an unavailable page.
