Claude Sonnet 5 Is Now Available on Buda
Claude Sonnet 5 is now available on Buda as a premium model for stronger everyday agent reasoning, coding, and review workflows.

Claude Sonnet 5 is now available in Buda.
It is a free model for teams that want a newer Sonnet option at the same credit multiplier as Claude Sonnet 4.6.
What's New
Buda now includes Claude Sonnet 5 in the model selector.
Sonnet 5 is built for the middle of real agent work: planning, coding, debugging, document review, research synthesis, and deciding the next step in a workflow. It is stronger than the default Sonnet baseline, but still practical enough to use throughout a working session.
That makes it a useful default candidate for everyday agent work where teams want the newer Sonnet route without changing credit cost.

Where Sonnet 5 Fits
Sonnet 5 is useful when an agent needs a better reasoning pass but the workflow still needs to move quickly.
- Review a pull request before it reaches a human reviewer.
- Debug an issue that spans logs, code, and product behavior.
- Plan a multi-step task with file edits and follow-up checks.
- Turn research notes into a clear execution plan.
- Improve customer-facing copy before final approval.
- Help route a task between faster execution models and deeper review models.
The pattern is simple: use cheaper models for repeatable execution, use Sonnet 5 for the Sonnet reasoning layer, and keep humans in control of final judgment.
Better Routing, Better Workflows
A model selector is not a trophy case. It is part of workflow design.
Buda now gives teams one more free Sonnet option before they need to move to subscription-only reasoning models. That makes routing easier: fast models for throughput, Sonnet 5 for newer daily Sonnet judgment, and Fable for the most sensitive calls.
