Buda v1.7.0 Release Notes
Organize long-running work with Agent Projects, customize the redesigned Agent chat layout, and collaborate through DingTalk or VS Code.
Released: May 28, 2026
✨ New Features
- Agent Projects make long-running work easier to organize: You can put related conversations into a Project, just like keeping files in a folder. When you come back to the same task later, the relevant sessions are easier to find and less likely to get scattered across the list.
- The Agent chat layout has been redesigned: Buda now has a right panel and a bottom panel, so you can place Files, Drive, Browser, and other everyday tools wherever they fit your habits. Chat stays in place while you review materials, preview results, and keep working.
- New DingTalk Channel: You can now talk and collaborate with Buda Agents through DingTalk, bringing Agent workflows into an existing team communication space.
- New VS Code integration: You can connect your local VS Code client to Buda Drive, then view and edit Agent workspace files in the editor you already use.
🔧 Experience
- Creating automations is easier: Empty states now offer templates such as Daily Briefing, Weekly Review, and Project Monitor instead of only showing a "New" button. One click brings the prompt into chat, making it easier to start from common scenarios.
- Editing automations feels more like updating a task card: Schedule, run location, notification, and model settings have been reorganized. Existing automations can also be paused, resumed, and adjusted from the detail drawer without jumping between pages.
- File previews and Drive feel smoother: Clicking a file in chat opens it in the right-side file panel at the correct location. Different Drive tabs also remember their own selected file and view state.
- The chat interface is more focused: Lower-frequency entries such as Channels and Skills moved into the More menu, and Agent tool hints are lighter so they no longer pull attention away from the main conversation.
⚡ Performance
- Long conversations feel smoother: Opening long chat histories, typing while an Agent responds, or switching between Agents should involve fewer unnecessary refreshes and less visible stutter.
- Sidebar switching is faster: When you have many Agents, Projects, and Sessions, scrolling and selection states are more stable and no longer flash as much during background refreshes.
- Automation lists load more lightly: Loading more tasks while scrolling is faster, and a newly created automation opens its detail view immediately instead of waiting for another refresh.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Follow-up questions no longer get stuck in the queue: If you send another message before the Agent finishes replying, Buda continues into the next response automatically without requiring a page refresh or showing duplicate user messages.
- Agent and session switching is more stable: Switching from one Agent to another returns to the correct last session, and repeatedly clicking the same Agent no longer leaves the workspace blank.
- Deleted Agents clean up more reliably: After an Agent is deleted, its runtime environment is cleaned up more consistently and will not be recreated by a terminal reconnect.
