Effective Date: February 14, 2026
Last Updated: March 11, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Buda ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our drive-based agent platform. Depending on the feature, browser, workspace configuration, and third-party services you choose to use, the exact cookies or browser storage keys in use may change over time.
1. What Are Cookies?

2.3 Analytics and Operational Cookies
These cookies or similar browser-side identifiers help us understand how users interact with the Service, maintain reliability, or troubleshoot issues. They may be set by Buda or by third-party infrastructure we use.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics or telemetry identifiers | Measure product usage, performance, or reliability | Varies |

3. Third-Party Cookies
We use third-party services that may set their own cookies:
3.1 Authentication Providers
- Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google
- GitHub OAuth: If you sign in with GitHub
3.2 Billing and Payment Providers
- Creem: For subscription checkout, billing state, and payment-related flows
- Related payment processors or merchant-of-record services: If used as part of the billing flow
3.3 AI and Agent Services
- AI model providers or compatible gateways: When you use Buda features powered by Claude, GPT, or Gemini family models
- Sandboxed or tool-enabled agent runtimes: When a feature requires agent execution, generated files, or tool usage
3.4 Other Connected Services
- Email, storage, hosting, monitoring, and communication providers: These services may also use cookies or similar browser-side identifiers when they are part of the feature you are using
These third-party cookies are governed by their respective privacy policies.
4. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Authenticate Users: Keep you logged in and secure your session
- Remember Preferences: Store your settings, theme, and workspace preferences
- Improve Performance: Optimize file loading, caching, and content delivery
- Analyze Usage: Understand how users interact with the Service (anonymized)
- Prevent Fraud: Detect and prevent unauthorized access and abuse
- Provide Features: Enable workspace collaboration, file sharing, billing flows, and AI agents
5. Managing Cookies
5.1 Browser Settings
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
5.2 Opt-Out Options
- Analytics: Where available, you may disable certain analytics or telemetry features in your Buda settings or browser controls
- Third-Party: Use browser extensions like Privacy Badger or uBlock Origin
5.3 Impact of Disabling Cookies
If you disable essential cookies:
- You will not be able to log in
- Workspace features will not function
- File uploads and downloads may fail
If you disable functional cookies:
- Your preferences will not be saved
- You will need to reconfigure settings on each visit
6. Local Storage and Session Storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser storage APIs:
6.1 Local Storage
- Workspace Cache: Stores metadata or cached responses for faster loading
- Draft Content: Saves unsaved changes to prevent data loss
- UI State: Remembers panel positions, layout preferences, and view settings
- Agent or Task Context: May temporarily store state needed to resume or stabilize in-progress workflows
6.2 Session Storage
- Temporary Data: Stores data for the current browser session only
- Upload Queue: Manages file upload progress
- Invitation or Auth Flow State: Preserves state across sign-in, invitation acceptance, or similar flows
You can clear local storage through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings.
7. Do Not Track (DNT)
Some browsers support "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Currently, there is no industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals. We do not alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals, but we respect your privacy choices through our opt-out mechanisms.
8. AI Features and Browser Storage
Certain AI and agent features may rely on browser storage, session identifiers, or related client-side state to preserve drafts, selected models, current workspace context, upload state, or in-progress tasks. These mechanisms do not change the core disclaimer that AI outputs and generated files may be produced by third-party model infrastructure and should be reviewed before use.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
