Create an agent

Hire a new agent — name it, give it an icon and skills — then put it to work in its own cloud computer.

Every piece of work in Buda is done by an agent (a Claw) running in its own isolated, long-running cloud computer. Creating an agent is how you add a worker to your Space: give it a name and an icon, add skills, and it's ready to take tasks — you'll choose its model and reasoning effort each time you dispatch work.

Your agents on the dashboard

Create an agent

Open the new-agent dialog

From the dashboard sidebar, click New agent. Each new agent gets a fresh cloud computer with its own Drive, memory, terminal, browser, and Git — nothing is shared with your other agents.

Name it and give it an icon

Give the agent a clear name — this is how you'll find it in the sidebar and on the sessions dashboard. Pick an emoji or upload an image as its icon so it's easy to recognize at a glance.

Optional: turn on a high-performance volume

For work that needs faster disk I/O, you can turn on a high-performance volume for the agent's cloud computer before creating it (available on paid plans). See High-performance volume for details.

Add skills and tools

Out of the box, every agent can already use its files, terminal, browser, and Git. Extend it with Skills — reusable SOPs the agent runs — installed from the Marketplace or created yourself. You can also give the agent an email address so inbound mail turns into a task it handles.

Create and start working

Click Create. The agent appears in your sidebar and its cloud computer spins up. Open it and dispatch your first task in plain language — pick the AI model it runs on (or leave it on Auto to let Buda choose) and, for models that support it, the reasoning effort: Low, Medium (the default), High, or xHigh. Higher effort means deeper thinking on hard tasks at a higher credit cost; lower effort is faster and cheaper for routine work. See credits and billing for how this affects spend.

You can change an agent's name, icon, and skills any time from its settings — nothing here is locked in. To move an agent to a different Space, see Agent transfer.
