Create an agent
Hire a new agent — name it, pick its model and reasoning effort, give it skills — then put it to work in its own cloud computer.
Every piece of work in Buda is done by an agent (a Claw) running in its own isolated, long-running cloud computer. Creating an agent is how you add a worker to your Space: give it a name and an icon, pick how hard it should think, and it's ready to take tasks.

Create an agent
Open the new-agent dialog
From the dashboard sidebar, click New agent. Each new agent gets a fresh cloud computer with its own Drive, memory, terminal, browser, and Git — nothing is shared with your other agents.
Start from scratch or a template
Start from scratch with a single blank agent, or pick a role template — Coding Agent, Documentation Writer, DevOps Assistant, Research Agent, Marketing Agent, Sales Agent, Social Media Manager, and more. A template pre-fills the agent with a sensible name and starting instructions for that role; you can change everything afterward.
Name it and give it an icon
Give the agent a clear name — this is how you'll find it in the sidebar and on the sessions dashboard. Pick an emoji or upload an image as its icon so it's easy to recognize at a glance.
Choose a model and reasoning effort
Pick the AI model the agent runs on. Leave it on Auto to let Buda choose, or select a specific model — each option shows its credit multiplier so you can balance capability against cost.
For models that support it, set the reasoning effort: Minimal, Low, Medium (the default), High, or xHigh. Higher effort means deeper thinking on hard tasks at a higher credit cost; lower effort is faster and cheaper for routine work. See credits and billing for how this affects spend.
Add skills and tools
Out of the box, every agent can already use its files, terminal, browser, and Git. Extend it with Skills — reusable SOPs the agent runs — installed from the Marketplace or created yourself. You can also give the agent an email address so inbound mail turns into a task it handles.
Create and start working
Click Create. The agent appears in your sidebar and its cloud computer spins up. Open it and dispatch your first task in plain language.
You can change an agent's name, icon, model, and skills any time from its settings — nothing here is locked in. To move an agent to a different Space, see Agent transfer.
