Buda v1.2.2 Release Notes
Generate videos directly in Buda, new per-member and AI assistant usage details in billing, and a batch of chat, canvas, and WeChat fixes.
Released: May 11, 2026
✨ New Features
- Generate videos directly in Buda: You can now create videos right inside Buda (powered by Seedance 2.0).
- See who's using how much: The billing page now shows a usage summary per member, and each transaction is attributed to the specific member or AI assistant that triggered it — so you can see at a glance who spent what.
- Open files in a new tab: Files and generated content in the right side panel now support opening in a new browser tab, making it easier to view larger files.
- Unified Skills & Tools management: A single entry point for managing Skills and Tools is now available in Space Settings.
- Long messages auto-collapse: Long messages in chat collapse automatically and can be expanded with a click, keeping long conversations tidy.
- More text file formats supported: The in-session text editor now recognizes more file types, making them easier to open.
🔧 Experience Improvements
- Smoother canvas loading: The changes list, history, and diff details in the Git tab now show placeholder effects while loading, so there's no layout shift when content appears.
- Smoother scrolling during AI replies: The chat no longer freezes when a lot of content arrives at once — scrolling stays responsive throughout.
- Generated videos appear in the file changes panel: AI-generated videos now show up in the file changes panel once complete and can be played directly inline.
🛡️ Security
- Stronger browser canvas isolation: Improved security for the browser canvas to prevent untrusted pages from accessing user data.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed WeChat image and file messages showing no response: Previously, when a WeChat media download failed, the message would silently disappear. Now a clear notice is shown so nothing is lost quietly.
- Improved WeChat media download reliability: Better compatibility for WeChat media files, reducing download failures.
- Git tab now shows errors and recovers gracefully: An error notice now appears when something goes wrong, and recovery is more stable.
- Opening the Git tab no longer auto-syncs with remote: The Git tab no longer automatically pulls from remote on open — syncing only happens when you trigger it manually.
- Fixed file cards not showing in AI replies: File cards in AI replies now display correctly.
