Buda v1.20.0 Release Notes

This release adds Claude Opus 5, clearer chat channel experiences, and more reliable automations, member invitations, and file uploads.

Released: July 28, 2026

✨ New Features

  • Take on more complex work with Claude Opus 5: Buda now supports Claude Opus 5. When you are tackling complex analysis, coding, or long-form content, you have a stronger model option.

πŸ”§ Experience Improvements

  • See your Agent's progress and results more clearly in everyday chat tools: Agent messages now display more clearly in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, and other chat tools, making both the work in progress and the final result easier to follow.
  • Know what is happening with each chat channel: Before the first conversation, Buda prompts you to send a message. If a connection is no longer active, Buda explains why and keeps your previous chat history available.
  • Keep group membership accurate: Member counts update immediately after someone is added or removed, so groups no longer incorrectly show β€œ0 members” or β€œNo members yet.” Existing members are clearly marked and easy to remove from the group.
  • Resolve linked-account issues more easily: If your Google or GitHub sign-in is not yet linked to your account, the page explains what happened and how to fix it. You can also view and link third-party accounts from Account settings.

πŸ› Bug Fixes

  • Scheduled automations no longer miss runs: If an Agent is busy with other work, a scheduled task waits in line and continues automatically when the current task is finished. Switching the run limit back to unlimited now also works as expected.
  • Email invitations are more reliable: Fixed an issue that prevented some paid Spaces from inviting members by email. When a Space reaches its member limit, Buda now clearly explains the reason and what to do next instead of showing a generic failure.
  • Local Browser no longer turns into a blank page: Reconnecting to an existing browser keeps the page you were viewing and working on.
  • File uploads in Drive and chat are more reliable: Large files and brief interruptions are less likely to cause a failed upload, and retries require less repeated work.
